About Me

If you are thinking about your financial future and what it may look like –

  • Will I ever have enough to pay off my student loans?
  • Can I buy a home?
  • Do I have enough to send the kids to college?
  • Will I have enough to retire?
  • What will long-term care cost?
  • What if I die or become disabled?
  • How could I possibly go on if my spouse were to die or become disabled?

And you are uncertain what the answers may be or doubtful as to whether the financial future you envision is even attainable, perhaps because you feel –

  • It’s impossible to save with the amount I earn
  • I don’t know where to begin
  • I’m afraid of making a mistake
  • Setting goals causes me anxiety
  • I think I’m headed in the right direction but not entirely sure
  • I don’t really understand my present financial advisor
  • I don’t really understand my present financial advisor

Then my services will benefit you.  I will listen carefully and help you identify the elements you want in your financial future and those that will likely be part of it regardless of your desires.  We will then figure out the means by which you can achieve your financial future.  Once you have a plan, I will help you carry it out and I will provide you guidance along the way.  If you should stray from your plan or find that you must change it, I will be there to help you get back on course or to revise your plan as necessary.

Who am I and why do I want to help you?   My name is Alex Cupi and I truly enjoy what I do.  I have a passion for reading and understanding investment information, and I get great pleasure helping others realize their financial potential.  When I arrived in the U.S. in 2005 from Albania, I was amazed by the tremendous wealth of the country and what appeared to be boundless financial opportunity for everyone who lives here.  While working nights as a janitor polishing floors at Winn-Dixie stores, I took finance and accounting courses during the day.  The courses I took sparked my interest in reading the books of legendary investors such as Warren Buffett, Philip Fisher and John Templeton, all of whom made vast fortunes in equity investments.  I have since studied and obtained a Series 65 license with FINRA and I am registered with the State of Arizona as an Investment Advisor Representative.

How is my investing approach different from that of other financial advisors?  Most financial advisors work for big Wall Street firms, the names of which I am sure you know.  The Wall Street firms spend millions of dollars developing investment products for their various customer-group profiles and those products are then recommended if not pushed upon their customers.  While you may not know it, the Wall Street firms often direct you into their recommended products as a herd and you come out of them as a herd.  For the privilege of participating (and so they can develop and market the next fabulous product), you get to pay outrageous fees.  In the end, if your experience is like many others, you find that the return you receive is well below the return you expected.

My approach is very different.  If it appears after reviewing your present financial situation and goals that equity investments are appropriate for you, I will use the fundamental principles applied by the legendary investors to identify well-established companies for your consideration.  Companies that I recommend will not be for short-term flips; they will be acquired for the long term, at fair prices, with the aim of minimizing taxes and transaction costs.  With my approach, we will build a diversified portfolio of great companies and let the power of compounding do its magic.  This is how the legendary investors built their wealth and it is how I will help you build yours.
